6x best rooftop bars in Miami

Take your night to new heights

Sometimes you actually do want your head in the clouds – and preferably with a small bowl of Greek olives for the table. See the Magic City from a whole new perspective at one of these cool rooftop bars, chosen by us, for you (you’re welcome), for their views, vibes, and frankly delicious food and drink offering. While Miami’s best spots don’t come cheap, these will give you more bang for your buck than most. See you up there, citizens.

Level 6 Rooftop

Overlooking the lush canopy of Coconut Grove’s Barnacle Historic State Park, this sixth-floor lounge is a tropical escape in the heart of the city. With its laid-back luxury—think glazed tiles and sleek wooden accents—it’s the perfect spot to enjoy Spanish-inspired tapas. Grab a plate of salt cod croquettes, sip your drink, and watch the sailboats drift on Biscayne Bay. Pure bliss.

The Citadel

It’s rare to get a good rooftop recommendation in north Miami, rarer still to get one above a food hall. But The Citadel is something special. Part-food hall, part-marketplace, this bustling family-friendly rooftop in Little River is all about the community. EThis family-friendly rooftop in Little River offers a vibrant community atmosphere, shaded seating, and stunning south-facing views. Grab a bite from one of the 12 food stalls downstairs and enjoy a happy hour you won’t forget watching the sunset on the Design District, Wynwood and Downtown

Miami rooftop pool area with night swim rooftop bar branding

Night Swim at citizenM Miami Worldcenter hotel

A self-nomination, kinda. The new pool concept on the 11th floor of our Worldcenter hotel is actually hosted by hospitality legends, FREEHOLD, with a proven track record for getting the party started. Enjoy modern Miami classics, fresh snacks, small plates, and a playful cocktail list. Happy hour runs from 4.00 PM to 7.00 PM Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday. Dive in and say goodbye to the blues!

Astra

Craving a bit of the Aegean in Miami? Astra’s got you covered. This massive 10,000 square-foot rooftop bar channels ‘Miami meets the Med’ vibes. It brings Greece to Miami – from the incredible terrace filled with fragrant olive and lemon citrus trees to the Green-inspired food and drink menu – and yes, we’re talking ouzo. Thanks to its uninterrupted Miami Downtown views, it’s at its best (and most popular) at sunset so book accordingly. Stin iyia mas!

Sugar

High above Brickell on the 40th floor of the East Hotel, Sugar offers 360-degree views of Miami. This rooftop garden serves up exotic cocktails and Asian-inspired tapas, all while you enjoy vibrant DJ sets. It’s a social hotspot where you can mingle with a swank crowd and soak in the skyline and Biscayne Bay views.

Terras

Little Havana isn’t known for its rooftops, but perhaps it should be. Terras is the neighbourhood’s first open-air, elevated bar and restaurant. Bursting with lush plants, this ‘tropically overgrown’ (their words), Latin American-inspired spot celebrates all things green. Expect a fresh, plant-focused small plates and a herbaceous cocktail menu. It’s open Tuesday to Sunday for dinner, drinks and dancing – seriously, that nu-disco soundtrack is hard to resist.
