How do I book?

We like to make things quick and easy for you – that's why all citizenM reservations are done online. You'll find our best rates and availability here. Just a few clicks and you're done! No phone calls or emails necessary.

How do I change the dates of the booking via citizenM?

Did you book a flexible rate via the citizenM website or app?

If you booked a flexible rate directly on our website or app, you can cancel your reservation via 'get booking', and then book a new stay.

How do I change the dates of the booking if I did not book via citizenM?

For all third-party bookings (these are all bookings not made via the citizenM website or app), any cancellations or modifications must be done via that channel. Please check your confirmation email for details and terms of your booking, and contact your channel directly.

How can I cancel the booking if I booked via citizenM?

It's too bad you cannot make it, we were looking forward to seeing you! If you have booked directly through the citizenM website, you can cancel your booking yourself via my booking page. Depending on the rate type you chose, you may or may not be charged. You can also contact our customer service team via the chat box, or via WhatsApp at +44 744 417 1707 (text only).

How can I cancel the booking if I booked elsewhere?

It's too bad you cannot make it, we were looking forward to seeing you! If you booked through a third party (for example, another website, your travel agent, etc), you will need to cancel the reservation directly with them. You will likely find their contact details in the reservation confirmation email. Depending on the rate type chosen at time of booking, you may or may not be charged.

Is my booking confirmed?

Every time you make a citizenM booking, you will receive a booking confirmation email. If the email doesn’t arrive, please check your spam folder.

For all bookings made directly via the citizenM website or app, the email will come from citizenM.

For all bookings made via other channels – for example, Booking.com, Expedia, travel agents – the email will come from them. It means that if you need to make any changes or cancel your stay, you will have to contact them as well, as they are the source of booking.

Why do we need your credit card details?

We take credit card details (i) to collect payment for stays and purchase of incidentals, (ii) as a guarantee for payment of cancellation fees, and (iii) to charge for potential theft and damages. See our reservation terms for more details.

How do I pay for my reservation?

If you book the flexible, long stay, or mycitizenM+ rate, you have a choice to pay right away (during your booking), or to pay at the hotel (during arrival and check-in). If you choose to pay right away, you can use a credit or debit card to pay for your booking. If you choose to pay at the hotel, you will need to give a credit card number during booking. Your card will not be charged (we do not take deposits). You will pay in full when you arrive at the hotel and check-in (cards only please, most of our hotels are cashless).

Where can I find my invoice?

The final invoice will be automatically emailed immediately after check-out to the email address confirmed during check-in.

Did you delete the email, or it never arrived? You can view and download your invoice anytime by logging into my booking page. You can also view or download the invoice by filling in the hotel location, the guest's last name and the reservation number.

Can I check-in early or late?

All our rooms are guaranteed to be available from 2:00 PM, even if you check-in before 2:00 PM via the citizenM app.

Early check-in before 2:00 PM: ask at the hotel front desk about early check-in. This is only possible when rooms are available. If there are no rooms, ask about our free luggage storage.

Early check-in cannot be booked in advance. However, at four of our hotels, early check-in can be purchased at the front desk for an extra fee (subject to room availability):

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport - 29 EUR Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport - 29 EUR Taipei North Gate - 1000 TWD Kuala Lumpur Bukit Bintang - up to 162 MYR, or the price of a one night stay if you are checking in before 10:00 AM

Check-in between 2:00 PM and midnight: your room is available and there are no extra charges for late arrival.

Check-in after midnight: call the hotel and they will hold your room until no later than 11:00 AM the next day. You'll find all hotel phone numbers here.

Do I need a credit card to book?

Yes, you need a valid credit card to book a room. The card will not be charged when making the reservation (there are some exceptions, for example when we're having limited-time sales). Once you arrive at the hotel, you'll be required to present a credit card at check-in, but it doesn't have to be the same credit card you used to make your booking online).

What kind of rates do you offer?

The flexible rates come with changes and cancellations until arrival day (the exact time is specified in your booking confirmation email). When you book one of these rates, you have a choice to pay right away, or pay when you arrive at the hotel. Our mycitizenM+ rate guarantees our lowest price of at 15% discount, and comes with many extra perks -.

Yes you can! You can enter any guest name, and it doesn't have to match the name on the credit card either. Please Note: That all guests are required to provide a valid credit card and photo ID, with matching names, at check-in for every reservation.

How many people can stay per room?

All our rooms are designed for a maximum occupancy of 2 adults.

Can I bring a child?

At citizenM, one child age 10 or less can share a double bed with two adults. The child stays free.

One child age 11 and older can share a double bed with 1 adult.

There are no twin beds, or space for extra beds, in citizenM rooms. All rooms have one XL king-size bed to share.

One child per room only, regardless of child age.

In the citizenM Paris hotels, there is a limited number of folding baby beds available. The beds are suitable for babies age 0-3, up to 15 kilos in weight (ask for the baby bed at the front desk on arrival, or leave a note in the comments section during booking).

Breakfast is free for all children age 10 or less, as long as the adults purchase breakfast too.

Can I add another person to the booking?

Yes, you can add another person to the booking, but please note all our rooms are suitable for a maximum occupancy of 2 adults. In every room, there is one XL king-size bed to share (no twin beds).

Unlike traditional hotels, at citizenM we only have one type of room – the perfect one. , the only thing that varies is the view. In some of our hotels, you can book a room with an extra-special view for a small extra fee. This option will show during your booking. In hotels where no special view is bookable, you may ask for a particular view in the comments during your booking, and we will do our best to fulfil your request (subject to room availability).

How can I pay in advance?

To pay in advance, log into 'my booking' where you can pre-pay for up to 72 hours (3 days) before your arrival date. To pre-pay someone else's reservation, you'll need to know the guest's last name, reservation number and the hotel where they are staying. Enter the information on this page to access the booking overview, then click the big red button to pre-pay.

Can I pay on arrival?

Did you book a flexible rate via the citizenM website or app? You can pay on arrival with any credit card you prefer (it doesn't have to be the same card you used to make the reservation). We accept all major credit cards. Most of our hotels do not accept cash for room payment. Did you book via a third party (booking.com, Expedia, travel agent, etc)? Your payment terms are set by the third parties, and you will know if you have to prepay or not at the time of making your booking.

How do I get an invoice?

Immediately after check-out, the final invoice will be sent to the email address confirmed during check-in. Did you delete the email, or it never arrived? You can view and download your invoice anytime by logging into my booking page. You can also view or download the invoice by filling in the hotel location, the guest's last name and the reservation number.

Can I pay cash?

Most of our hotels are cashless. We accept all of the following cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro, Discover and JCB. Please note that a credit card is mandatory in order to check-in, also when you prepaid or paid with a debit card. Remember to bring a credit card with you! For your convenience, you may charge your spending to your room. We will ask you to settle any balances over the value of 250 EUR / GBP / USD / CHF or 1500 DKK. All room nights must be paid for in advance. If you need to extend your stay, we will ask you to pay for the additional nights at the time of reservation extension.

When do I pay?

You can pay up until 72 hours (3 days) before check-in through my booking page. After that, you can only pay at check-in (online check-in before you arrive, or personally at the hotel).

How can I confirm if a payment has been made?

You can check if your reservation has been prepaid at anytime through here. You can also contact us via chat if you are unsure.

Do I need to bring the credit card used for booking when checking in?

You will need a credit card to check in, but it doesn't have to be the same credit card used to book. It can be any other card you prefer to use.

Do you take deposits?

Yes and you'll be happy to know we don't charge extra for additional people in the room (unlike most hotels). The number of guests can be changed from 1 to 2 (and vice versa) via my booking page. You can also do it at check-in.

If you booked through a third party (for example, another website, your travel agent, etc) you will need to contact them to make this adjustment. You will likely find their contact details in the reservation confirmation email.

If the second person needs breakfast, you can simply buy it in the morning at canteenM. It won't cost any extra, the price is always the same.

Can I add breakfast to my reservation?

Yes, you can add breakfast with one click while you're making your reservation. If you aren't sure yet, simply buy it on the day of arrival or in the morning. The price is the same.

How do I book a meeting room?

Book one of our inspiring societyM meeting rooms online any time, any place here. You will find more information, availability and best prices there too. All our rooms come with free-flowing coffee, superfast Wi-Fi, tech for all your devices – and much, much more.

How to book multiple meeting rooms?

It’s just like online shopping. Add the first room to your basket… and then another and another – as many as you need.

What are the payment options?

Book online and pay right away with a credit or debit card. Just so you know, we don’t take bank transfers, cheques, or cash.

How can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your room free of charge up to 7 days before your meeting. After this, you’ll be charged the full price. Email societyM@citizenM.com with your booking number to cancel.

How can I change my booking?

Changes cannot be done online, please contact us directly via societyM@citizenM.com.

How can I get an invoice?

Ask the hotel ambassadors for a full VAT receipt when you leave, or ask us via societyM@citizenM.com.

What’s included in the room?

All societyM meeting rooms come with superfast free Wi-Fi, comfortable Vitra furniture and smart TVs. They also have essential stationery, and laptop connections like Clickshare, Microsoft Wireless, HDMI and VGA – plus unlimited coffee, tea and water. Most rooms have a floor-to-ceiling blackboard or whiteboard walls.

What times can I book?

Our meeting rooms are open from 7.30 AM to 11.00 PM. Between the hours of 7.30 AM and 6.00 PM, you can book a meeting room for a minimum of 4 hours. After 6.00 PM, the minimum is 2 hours.

What about food and drink?

Delicious catering menus for morning, afternoon and all-day appetites are available to order up to 48 hours before your meeting (this is to guarantee we can cover all dietary requirements, and make the food as fresh as can be). Add any catering package while you book. If you miss the 48-hour window, it’s ok! All societyM meeting rooms come conveniently attached to our fabulous canteenM. It serves a delicious breakfast buffet (until 11.00 AM), hot and cold lunches and dinners, around-the-clock drinks and snacks, and freshly stirred craft cocktails (serving hours in accordance with each country’s alcohol laws).

Can I film in the rooms?

Any audiovisual recording, photo shoot, reproduction or representation of images (that includes the premises and buildings of our hotels) – other than for strictly private use – has to be approved. Please contact for permission.

How do I book an event (for example, at cloudM)?

Good news! Individuals and small groups (less than 20 people) don't need to book in advance – just come on up to cloudM during opening hours (please ask at the hotel when you arrive). For groups of 20 people or more (or bigger events), please email cloudM@citizenM.com to tell us about your plans.

Do I get a discount on hotel rooms?

We love groups! To request 11 or more rooms on fixed dates, please visit our groups page to request a quote. But remember, there are no twin beds at citizenM. Each room has an XL king-size double bed only.

I want to book 10 rooms or less

Easy! Book your 10 rooms or less just like any other stay via citizenM.com. We have plenty of rate options, just choose the best one for your budget.

How do I pay for my group?

You’ll need a credit card to guarantee your booking, but then you can choose to pay by bank transfer, credit card or let each guest pay upon check-in.

How can I cancel or change my group booking?

Please email groups@citizenM.com with your booking number and the name of the hotel, and we’ll handle the rest.

What about dinner?
